This is the story of how Kickstarter’s Data team collaborated with the Community Support team and the Engineering team to build a support automation tool called Sassy — and how our workplace collaboration was enriched in the process. I'll talk about how we identified and prototyped the thing we wanted to make, how we handled the technical challenges in building it for production, and how the development of this product was driven by a curiosity and empathy for our coworkers and users.
